934 Gallery
CREATIVE DIRECTION ✱ DIGITAL MARKETING ✱ EVENT PROMOTION
934 Gallery is a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit art gallery located in Columbus, Ohio. Since joining the Marketing Committee in 2021, I’ve had the opportunity to help develop social strategy, contribute to creative direction, and write promotional copy to market new monthly exhibitions, the gallery’s annual music festival, 934 Fest, pop-up events at Seventh Son Brewery, and an ongoing pop-up gallery space at the John Glenn International Airport (CMH).
#PAYARTISTS CAMPAIGN
Art is work. Art is valuable. Art is essential.
As a volunteer on the Marketing Committee, I contributed to the creation of 934 Gallery’s #PayArtists campaign, championing the principle that artists deserve fair compensation for their creativity. The social media strategy included a call-to-action for followers to sign the #PayArtists pledge and purchase a t-shirt, where 100% of the proceeds went directly to a dedicated fund for artist compensation. The initial campaign launch has generated over 10K+ potential impressions. This campaign makes 934 the only gallery in Columbus to pay artists regardless of sales.
🏆 Greater Columbus Arts Council Columbus Makes Art Excellence Award winner recognizing outstanding achievements in innovation, risk and artistic excellence in a performance, exhibition, program or project.
934 FEST
934 Gallery’s annual music and mural festival serves as the non-profit gallery’s biggest fundraiser of the year. I collaborate directly with the gallery’s graphic designers on the branding for Fest and often assist with directing and guiding how to bring marketing promotions to life through social media, including spotlights for featured bands and muralists.
I have volunteered providing social media strategy, social media management, and live-posting event support for the past four festivals, 2021-2024.
PATREON LAUNCH
To encourage more recurring donations to fund their community art initiatives, 934 Gallery launched a Patreon subscription in 2021. I worked with the marketing committee on concepting a launch campaign with visuals that played between both Patreon and 934 Gallery’s dot-based branding, which subtly encouraged social users to swipe deeper into carousel post.
