SOCIAL STRATEGY BRAND COMMUNICATIONS CREATIVE DIRECTION

Sister companies Orange Barrel Media + IKE Smart City dominate a unique corner of the out-of-home advertising industry by blending art, public benefit, and smart city technology into their mission of improving lives in cities. During my time at OBM + IKE, I built and executed a holistic social media strategy from the ground-up, including in-depth competitor patterning, target audience personas, brand voice and tone, content pillars, and more.

SITE-SPECIFIC PAINTING

Collaborated with members across design, video, PR, and arts & communities teams to develop a social media roll out strategy of eye-catching content for the unveiling of a new large scale painting, This is the thing they call life, by artist Sarah Cain at the Orange Barrel Media HQ in Columbus, Ohio. This artwork, and the associated launch campaign, was awarded the Columbus Society of Communicating Arts 2023 “Creative Best” award for Best Environmental Design and was featured in ARTnews magazine.

COLLABORATIONS WITH ARTISTS + ARTS INSTITUIONS

As part of OBM’s commitment to elevating public art through out-of-home media, I fostered social media relationships with world-renowned artists and major arts institutions across the country, including: Museum of Modern Art in Los Angeles, Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Library Street Collective in Detroit, and the Columbus Museum of Art. Creating Instagram collaborations with these institutions actively demonstrated OBM’s mission in-action, while increasing the potential reach of the social content and planting seeds for future partnerships.
